ROUTE 1: Start/Finish in Valencia

The entire roundtrip is up to 58 km long, though you can turn around earlier.
On Saturdays and Sundays, this tour is also possible in a group of up to 8 people, accompanied by an English-speaking guide. Price: 29€ p.p
You can also be accompanied on this route by a professional birding guide, who will take you to the most beautiful places in the area and tell you everything about the birds and the diverse ecosystems in the Albufera.

ROUTE 2: Start in Valencia, Finish in Sueca or Cullera (*)

This is the most varied route and also goes along the Júcar River and the orange groves. This is not a round trip.
You can stop after 45km, 60 or 70km.
The bikes will be picked up at the end point and you will get on the train back to Valencia yourself. (Travel time 30 min)
The train ticket is included. For an additional fee you can take a taxi back, which will drop you off at your accommodation.
On this route we can also prepare a picnic basket with regional products for a delicious lunch with a magnificent view over the rice fields.

The tour is available almost every day of the year, except public holidays and during hunting days in the Albufera.
After completing the booking form, we check the availability of the bicycles and our attendant/broom wagon. We will then confirm the booking asap. Please fill in an alternative date in case we have to reschedule the tour due to weather conditions.
Please also state your height, so that we can prepare the correct size bicycle. And if there are children, please state how many and how old they are so that we can provide child seats for both the car and the bicycle.

There is no guide on this tour, you cycle at your own pace. You will receive a helmet from us and ask you to drive carefully.
Participants are expected to take out travel and accident insurance themselves. We can take out insurance through ARAG for €5 per participant per day. Conditions on request.
Description
Cycle through the rice fields at Lake Albufera and past orchards full of oranges by the Júcar River . A varied journey through a labyrinth of ditches and canals, over dikes and quiet roads. Watch the video here.
The Albufera is a unique ecosystem , with dunes, beach, rice fields and a huge lake that attracts many special birds, such as flamingos and all kinds of herons and ibises.
And you can eat delicious paella !
The water is supplied via the Júcar River for the irrigation of the rice fields and orchards full of exotic fruits such as persimmons, oranges, avocados and mandarins.
On our tour you will receive binoculars and a map with the most common birds in the area.
At the start you will receive a personal explanation (in English, Dutch, or Spanish) about the area, so that you will see and understand more about this unique Spanish ´polder´.
And on request we prepare a picnic basket full of tasty regional products, ready for you at a beautiful point along the route.
There is also a multi-day cycling holiday , including overnight stays. In addition to the rice fields and the orange groves , you will also discover the higher parts of the Jucar, including a spectacular 'mountain stage' to a reservoir. Many people try to find their own way in Albufera but don´t know how to find the nicest roads and cycle paths or get lost in the labyrinth of channels...
We have selected the most beautiful roads for you, mostly on quiet agricultural roads, cycle paths, or dikes.
You will receive a GPS device from us, with pre-installed routes.
This way you can easily find your way and cycle at your own pace, self-guided.
You can always call us when you are on the road.
This bike tour is available in different lengths between 45 and 70km.
Along the way, you will come across a number of villages with typical bars or restaurants.
You cycle at sea level, without significant climbing or descending. Not too difficult.
If you cycle with young children, you can also shorten the tour by starting in Sueca.

In case of serious mechanical problems with the bicycle, we will repair or replace the bicycle on-site.
You will receive a repair kit for flat tires.
